Got the car officially tagged, titled and insured this past week. Drove it 150+ miles and had a ball. It runs great, smooth as silk coming down from a few 1/4 mile blasts and never had a single issue! Speedview app had me at 114 mph for my "high score" LOL!

Well, crap! Stock rod bolts suck. Fortunately I'd been gathering parts (block and rockers recently) to do a stroker shortblock. This just speeds up the process...

Had the heads pressure checked and the two valves replaced in the one head. Machinist said I was really lucky as the one bent valve had it's head come off in his hand as he was taking it out! He took a .010 cut off of both to get them flat again. Top end is ready so I need to get the shortblock built..

I ordered a Molnar 4.25" stroke crank and 7.1" long rods along with Mahle pistons Friday. Flexplate, oil pan and balancer arrived today.
I'm anxious to get everything to my machinist!
