I've posted a few pics of things like the dash over in the general section but I've actually made good progess here lately on the body and motor. I shot DPLF epoxy primer yesterday morning. Heres a few pics:

'nother

This side had a large dent in the top of the door where something fell on it, a dent behind the door and a large scrape behind the rear wheel. 99% of it pulled out with a stud gun and lots of effort. Very little filler!

Front Fender:

Original fender was hammered and bondoed beyond repair so I started with a Polara fender that I had to weld shut the trim holes. It also had rusted out where the dog leg holds debris so I welded in a new patch. I also welded shut the holes for the emblem.

Motor:

I got the heads back from the machine shop this weekend so they're painted and installed. Just need a few more odds and ends for it. 440 that will be done up to resemble 426 Stage II Maxie (when funds allow for the crossram!)

Dash:

Interior was teal green and had enough rust that the bottom edges of the dash had started to pit.

Don't have pics but changed it over from /6 to V-8 K-frame and rebuilt the front suspension. Also swapped the nutted 8 3/4 rear axle for one out of a '70 B-body.

Floorpans were shot so they were replaced with new reproduction sheetmetal and epoxy primed as well.

That's all for now...

NO!

I have enough transmission and distributor work on the side that I can't get my own stuff done! LOL!

Minor update:

Got the heads back from the machine shop and painted them and the '67 intake that I had so I can run a Holley square bore carb (for now) without using an adapter.

M/T valvecovers were new, never bolted on pieces that I found at a garage sale down the street for $10.00!! Will look period correct for the car...

Engine is a conglomeration of really good pieces that I put together from multiple motors. Block and rotating assembly is '75 440 that had virtually NO wear on any of the rotating assembly or bores. '69 906 heads with 40 thou whack top that off with the aforementioned '67 intake and 440 source sluminum pump/housing/waterneck.

There was a post in the racers section about those ports on the 440source water pump housings were waay small compared to the originals and were causing cooling problems. Thought you should know, just incase you run into problems.

I saw that but thanks for mentioning it. I have a cast iron housing sitting on the shelf to replace it if I need to. I'm going to inspect it really close tonight!

Front of motor with new (made in USA) pulley and alternator bracket from 440 source. Very nice pieces and fit perfectly!

Alternator is old unit for mock up only.

I'm using allen head black oxide bolts for the water pump housing, bottom pulley and intake manifold for a different look. I may switch out some of the smaller bolts like the valley tray end pieces as well.

I epoxy primed the engine bay this weekend, installed the motor and the new dual bail lightweight mastercylinder. Don't have any good pics of the engine in since it was getting dark and didn't have good light in the garage.

Installed the dash, hooked up the brake pedal to the master cylinder, did the wiring in the engine compartment and made some rubber splash guards for the access holes in the inner fenders. Duplicated the orignals perfectly! Mostly small stuff but it's starting to come together!

Man, I'm glad I bagged and tagged where all the parts go. Otherwise I'd NEVER find this stuff!

Few more updates..

Installed Wilwood disc brake setup on the front:

Neighbor did the cool safety wire on the back that you can't see. I'll take a pic of the backside of the passenger side hub/rotor before I install...
