Rapid588, It's sure nice to see a picture of kurt's old car. The hemi plate accents it real good. Have you made any full throttle passes yet? I know at work in the shop last week kurt said you just had some shakedown runs? I am also curious to see how the different valve bodies compare to one another. It's good to see pictures of the car, definately one of a kind!

couple of points and a question......
point one is....i bought a roller 727 from jims performance transmisions this spring...to make a long story short..i didnt have good luck with it...it broke...taking it back to him to see what went wrong....but one thing i learned...there is NO et gain with the roller bearings....on consective saturday nites my car et'ed the exact same with the roller in..and the next week with my backup 727 in..exact same mph and et......other guys that i race with were running the same as well...so it was a very good test....i was told to expect from a tenth to a tenth and a half in et..and flat didnt see it..........
my question is....going to a trans brake this year....other than following the installation istructions...what other mods can be done to insure reliability in the 727.......and what is the life expectancy of a 727 in a high 9 sec 3300 pound car...or what should i expect it to be????? with a brake???

I think there's to much emphasis on performance gains from the rollerized units. Even with zero performance gain the rollers offer an increased level of reliability over their non-roller counterparts.

I'm looking for info on the 16 roller sprag. Has anyone had any failure? I have an old Griner brake without low band apply. I've never rolled the sprag over but have seen it happen. I'm just looking for a little insurance. Thanks
