Recently got my 67 coronet on the road. The speedo needle is very erratic at slow speeds. ( fluctuates about 20 mph until about 40mph)

Speedo head was rebuilt by Redline, new cable and housing ( greased) and rebuilt 727..

I repositioned the cable with no change..

What do you think about removing cable from the tranny and attaching a drill to see if the cable and head are OK?? Hoping it might be a bad gear in the tranny?? Any thoughts here...

is it a mopar speedo cable? There are problems with cables from Year One. Just had my cluster restored and calibrated and speedo rebuilt, it needed new bushing. Came back with a warning label not to use Year One speedo cables to use a real Mopar cable. Which by the way is cheaper then the China made cable from Year One
