Hey guys, as the title says I'm looking for the best plugs for my 383. I keep breaking the ceramic and bending the electrodes on the cheapy auto parts store generic brand plugs. AC Delco totally failed, and now I'm using autolite with not much luck.

What do you guys reccomend?

You are gonna get different replies as some have good luck with Champion, some Autolite, some NGK, Bosch, and on and on. I would put some j10y's in it and try it. Good luck

Lots of choices out there... Some really good, some not so good... I like NGK's & ND's... But my question would have to be how did you get 10-1 C/R in an iron headed 383...

I had 9.5 on my 383 with open chamber iron heads with the pistons at....wait...nevermind, my extra stroke makes it a 440

I had the heads shaved about .035 to achive the compression bump.

I would NOT recommend it due to the intake fitment issues I've had to struggle with.

BUT I don't want to deal with these plugs anymore. Are there any brands I can buy at Napa or a good auto parts store that are off the shelf and would be OK? Heat range suggestions?

That's all I use. But I also run all MSD too.

I use the MP electronic with orange box. Fire's every time never left me stranded. Get plenty of miles out of a set of plugs.
