Hi, I'm looking on ebay for a set of fabricated valve covers for my 440 - can anyone recommend a particular manufacturer? They all pretty much look the same, are there any differences I need to know about?

Also, I have an MSD billet distributor - are there any clearance issues?

Thanks!!

If it is the one with a larger distributor cap even with my mopar performance VC they needed grinding.

Some are not cut for breathers some have no oil baffles.

Allen Here's a novel idea, let's not throw a bunch of parts at the car hoping it will fix the problem and instead spend a little time diagnosing it first. Life was a little easier when I was just a wrench.

I must not have the larger cap because I currently have the MP VC's and they fit just fine, no grinding needed. The cap I have is the HEI snap-in style.

Thanks,
Greg

Basically look directly down at your distributor, from the wire side, is there anywhere it covers any part of the valve cover gasket area? If so your distributor will most likely have clearance issues.

Yea almost everyone had to dint and grind the valve cover at the distributor with the Fab and billet combo. The distributor covers the dints! LOL!! I'll be doing mine this week.
