If it is the one with a larger distributor cap even with my mopar performance VC they needed grinding.
Some are not cut for breathers some have no oil baffles.

Here's a novel idea, let's not throw a bunch of parts at the car hoping it will fix the problem and instead spend a little time diagnosing it first.
Life was a little easier when I was just a wrench.

Basically look directly down at your distributor, from the wire side, is there anywhere it covers any part of the valve cover gasket area? If so your distributor will most likely have clearance issues.
