I've been talking with a C/L seller about a 70 hemi bare block he has. He was told it was from a wing car but cannot verify. Info he passed follows:

Date is 5-19-69
Vin -----0A166204 or 0A158204 or 0A188204

Here's the link to his ad:

Im about to have the engine machined, but figured Id throw out the VIN on this since my 440 would likely have been in something worth restoring. Or the car could have been long crushed but either way its worth a shot if someone is looking for it.

Casting date: 2/20/69, casting number 2536430-5

Pad above oil pan: 0 (possibly a C but looks like a half moon)100397 (assuming last digits of VIN?)

pad by waterpump housing: F 440, an upside down A underneath it, then below that, 7 28 HP2 with a sideways A above it.

If this motor belongs to your car let me know as its probably the only reason Id consider selling or trading since the motor is in really nice shape.
Mike

Would love to find the original 340 block and auto transmission from my '71 Road Runner. Car's build date is a late one; 7-07-71 and the last six digits of the VIN are 239551.

The car spent most of its life in Missouri, most recently the Kansas City area.

If you come across the block or transmission, please contact me at stevenlanehanson@hotmail.com

Thanks.
