NANKET master N Joined: Dec 2003 Posts: 4,954 northwest USA	Found 70 340 engine in original paint, has J heads, lower pad is stamped B425xx7. Probable a Cuda 340 engine by the VIN. Nothing stamped where the two x's are, just blank in those positions, and it is a factory stamp. Stamped on front of block is F340P32620298. Early July of 70 assembly date. From Washington state the Tri-cities area. Is this your engine?

70440+6bbl master 7 Joined: Jan 2003 Posts: 5,269 NY	The original '69 340 shortblock was swapped out of my F6 green 340 4-spd Swinger under warranty, sometime in mid '70-1971. The dealer was Griffin Motors. The engine had a bad oil leak and was replaced with a warranty shortblock, so maybe someone ended up with it in that area? It is a long shot I know, but you never know The VIN will be 9B377081 Anyone remember this Dart racing at Thompson Dragway in Cleveland, OH in 1970? 6990407-DSC06391.JPG (236 downloads)
