Need some advice on what size slicks to use.
64 Polara (full weight)
CRT Pro trans w/ brake, 4800-5000 stall
Damon Kuhn 500, 2x4 crossram, 440-1, around 680 hp
Dana 60 rear on SS leafs, 4.11 gears, DT locker

I currently have some MT 11.5 x 27 mounted on the car but am wondering if there would be a benefit in getting some taller tires before we start testing and tuning??? We are shooting for 10.5's and will probably swap the intake to the Indy 2x4 for the track.

I ran 10.44 last weekend in this with a set of M/T ET Street 11.50 x 28 x 15 (actual diameter is 27.3). Using 4.30 gear goes over the finish line at 6900 rpm.
