Does any one know how to tell the difference between a 440 oval air grabber base and a 383 unit?

if you lay it on a flat surface and the round part that sits on the carb is original and uncut

383, the whole unit will sit slightly off the flat surface

440, the unit will touch the flat surface

the 440 unoit is lower due to the 440 being slightly taller than a 383
