You can get them through Chrysler. From the catalog:

WHEEL COMPONENTS
D. Trim Rings
These 14" and 15" Trim Rings for Rallye, Road and Steel wheels are
available in either chrome or brushed finish. They are made from the
original tooling and have the correct retaining ring for a proper fit.

P3461222 Trim Ring, Brushed, 15", 15" x 7" Rims
P3461043 Trim Ring, Chrome, 15", 15" x 7" Rims

the current ones from Mopar are nice, just not right. IMO the finish is wrong. they look to pebblely to me compared to an original

Bill - Are there other repos still available? If so, how do they stack up against the Mopar Perf ones? The only other option for sawdust is looking for mint originals I guess. Also, I bought my Mopar ones from a friend at a dealership. Do any of the vendors that you know of sell them for less than retail?

I also think the brushed ones are too brushed when compared against originals, but what are you going to do....

Bruce,
the current repops from mopar the best there is, unfortunately. I've sold a couple sets of them and 90% of the people will never catch the fact they aren't 100% right.

There used to be an offshore repop that looked much better but fit worst, but I don't know if it still exists. It may have succumbed to the fact Mopar released these . Another case of to many companies all making the same product( just because they can ) for such a small market

Considering the dealer cost to suggested retail price ratio from Mopar Perf has shrunk considerably over the years I have serious doubts anyone is selling for less than retail , over retail is more likely the case.

Sorry Nick, I haven't sold a set in over a year - and MP prices vary/change with demand . So I can't answer that one with confidence.

Just curious, I knew at one time they were not close to the originals but never had the need to purchase a set or ever had the need to see a set..... Nick

92 a piece sounds a little pricey.

now for the debate side of this thread. Whats correct for an early build date 70, the brushed or polished?

There should be no debate regarding polished or brushed for 70, it's only polished.

As for a debate for early 71 models...

I have a perfect set of polished for my 15x7's on my 71 charger se, build date of 1/13/71(built exactly 3 1/2 years after I was born)

I know the brushed is correct, but i scored a helluva deal on the polished set of 4, still in plastic bags. Yes, i'd consider an even trade for a nice correct set of brushed ones (hint hint)

Bruce, if you have a set of Trim Rings already with the dings and other various marks you can always rebuild them. Take them apart and tap the dents out and file the scuffs and then polish the rings. Ya it actually takes some work to make them nice. Most people just want to reaching into ones wallet for their credit card and have the parts show up via UPS at their door.

I have a set of brished 71 rings from MP (I paid 75 each)and when thew were compaired side by side with orig they looked better than 98% of reproduction parts I have seen from other venders and I am VERY picky with repo parts.

Hi,

This a long shot. I happened on this thread from 2009! You hinted that you may like to trade brushed 15 X 7, 3" deep trim rings for your polished ones. Did that ever happen? My car needs the polished ones.

Let me know.

Vinny PM the person your trying to ask this question, this isn't a prompted discussion board (meaning whoever your asking would have to stumble upon this thread) to see your post.

And if you can find a set of originals they can be restored. BTW, I've had these cars since the 70s and my later 70s always had brushed trim rings. below is a picture of my A66 Convertible on the day the owner picked it up. Notice the brushed rings. Mopar parts book shows brushed rings as well.
