I just broke the cam in on my fresh 440. All went well and when I was done I had a large spot of oil under my trans bell housing,I also noticed a drip under the dust cover of the transmission that is motor oil.
Does this sound like the typical 440 mainseal leak?
If so,who makes the best seal for this?

Thanks.

You could also check the top of the bellhousing area to see if the oil galley plugs and/or oil sender is tight up there, it could be dripping down from the top. There are a couple of galley plugs and a cam plug in the back of the motor inside the bell that could be leaking as well.
