I added a little bit of welding rod to the leading edge of the driver door to close gap. I sanded back to expose the earlier coat of epoxy to have that layer the same for blocking. I don't know why I didn't take pics of the driver side after the fender was installed again, but here is pass side and door adjustment

reinstalled and squared everything again. these things go together and apart couple dozen times over this type of restoration. here are a couple glamor shots of it mostly assembled. I will add a couple of good driver side pics for gap and alignment

Dyno Dave, thanks. They need to revisit their jig because both side brackets were welded at a bad angle as well. it took just a small amount of a twist to get them to bolt up. but i almost feel they could skip the welding of these brackets all together and let the end user install them but not everyone has easy access to a welder.

Put the car back on the ramps and jackstands to install USCartool connectors, I expected welding was gonna be pretty uncomfortable so i bumped it a bit higher with some 2x cribbing. I supported the rear at the spring hangars the mid at the crossmember and the nose at the roller frame.
It had some homemade thin wall 2" square tube connectors I left one in place just in case to keep the body as rigid as possible. Since the car is gutted, there really is no concern for sagging but I rather take the precaution.

The welds are solid but look about a C+ in total. I was able to get some nice beads and then some real booger-ed up ones where my position, lighting and vision were compromised. all in all it is stitched in well but some places sure aint pretty. I will be happier after the owner cleans toe bottom off and Rhino Liner the underside for sound and heat control. It will also hide some of the ugly whistling cool

Second one installed I put some rattle can primer just to protect the steel until it gets paint and Rhino Line.

I believe there is no more metal fabrication remaining, maybe a couple small things but nothing like it has been. I am officially off the hourly clock for and onto my original flat fee quote for blocking, prep and paint. Time to do the filler and blocking work to get the car jammed in color and back to the owner for a few sub assemblies.

Not sure how many pics I will post with the tediousness of filler, sanding, blocking priming, REPEAT, etc. but I will stay somewhat updated.
