I am at 310,000 or so, with an 05 5.9l, and the stock originals are going strong.

12v….. only when you wanted performance upgrade
24v VP44 ERA….. Same
03-07 common rail….. done a ton in the 150-200k range.
08+…… other than a rare electronic failure or def damage I haven’t put a set in one yet just from general wear. I attribute that to much better filtration.

TBH, not sure if it was an injector starting to fail or the wiring that is integrated with the valvecover gasket? The insulation on the wires start to get hard and brittle over time.

I just went ahead and did both while in there.

My 06 has the aftermarket filters, fuel and water separator, CAT filter that does 2 microns. The stock filter is 10 microns and injectors stop up at 4-5 microns. Cummins told Chrysler of this issue with the common rail injectors but they said NO, $6000 to replace, money for the service department lol. I think I’m down to just two orifices still open (has 3). Doesn’t run to good on regular mode so I keep it in tow mode with programmer box. 155,000 miles.

301K on my 2010 with original injectors. However, I lost two engines, a 2004 and 2005 with injector issues, the 04 had one go wide open and hydraulic'd the engine spitting out a rod, the 05 had one go dead burning a hole in a cylinder. Both were in the 200K range... eek

Between this and transmissions, you have the worst luck of anyone I've ever seen!

I won't own a modern diesel but I work on them for customers and 200,000 to 300,000 is pretty normal, some more and some less but it costs more than replacing the entire engine in a hemi truck.

Nope, I was real bad in my youth, about even with karma now. I have 301K on my 2010 Cummins with the 68RFE and it is probably time to do a service if nothing else. I put 80-100K miles on my trucks hauling open and enclosed trailers, got 422K on my 2015 Hemi Ram now. But I am trying to figure out what the filter is on the passenger side frame rail. I've had the fuel filter changed several times but nobody ever mentions the filter there, looks like it has been there for a long time, maybe the water seperation filter? shruggy
