Me and the kids made our first you tube so you can see how ugly I am and maybe learn something about these new hemis and their tics that can potentially save you a ton of money.

Please feel free to comment and tell me I am a hack with an ugly bald head and a freaky voice.

We are also working on some super duper MPG 318 dakota videos in the near future so subscribe so you don't miss those.

This is the block I built my towing engine out of and it is a beast.

Great video, but try to not bleed as much!

I have 6.4s in my Scat Pack and Ram HD and have found myself straining to hear any of that dreaded “Hemi click” each time I start them. Your straightforward teardown of this high mileage engine suggests that I don’t have nearly as much to fear from this issue, especially since both of mine are later than 2018 with the factory’s better oiling revisions, etc. like you showed.

I’m in the Inland PNW not too far away, so will keep your info in mind if I run into any issues down the line.

Very interesting, so if they look good, just reuse the bearings?
If so, no need to go back in same spot, seemed like you weren't worried about position.

Cool vid. Since you've had lots of these apart ... is the crankshaft forged? I didn't see anything to tell me either way, and that is a great core.

Your pit crew is awesome! I only have my wife to assist and she's great and all, but kids rock as they're so curious about stuff.
I'm subbed.

Nice Video - can't wait for the next one!

Your voice may sound freaky to you since you're used to hearing yourself through your internal ear structure - to the rest of us, your voice is perfectly normal

Not related to your efforts other than you have me wondering if you are helping get your grandkids or your kids involve in our sport early work shruggy grin

I really enjoyed that video Dave!!!!!! Yes keep them coming please. I was also VERY impressed with your sons. It gives me faith in the USA when I get reminders that there are good kids being raised right out there. Not only there helping, but not whining, and clearly not the first time they've been around the shop! Your one son even knew exactly what a wooden dowel was up

One question; I'm told the later 5.7's (the year seems to be disputed) got the "6.4 lifters" with larger roller pins. What is your experience on this? Can you confirm this?

Thanks Dave!

Lol I bet she loves that. I don't have the kids or the wife, so my brother gets stuck coming over when I need the extra hands.
