Reminds me of the day I was going down the highway in the '57 Plymouth Belvedere 4 door I had at the time and passed a new Yogo that had just come out. As I came along side and looked over I realized That if I cut the interior floor out of the Belvedere the Yugo would fit with room to spare. It also made me feel safer knowing how much more car I had around me for protection..

My guess would be the 57 Plymouth is still running and the Yugo is now a fence post.

Reminds me of a British recreation of General Lee from a picture ala the Stonehenge recreation in Spinal Tap.

Love it!

Back when I had my '71 Newport (4dr), the '90-'97 body style Lincoln Town Car was out. I remember so many people saying how absolutely HUGE that car was, yet, my '71 was both longer and wider. laugh2

Zippy did you get a chance to talk to the owner and try some humor with him/her? Like I think your trunk (boot) is about the size of my glovebox and my trunk is about the size of your car wink. If not then you spared yourself as some of those car owners are tired of these jokes DAMHIK.

Tried to make a joke or a little humor with an Isetta and big Mercury/Ford/Lincoln?? owner at a rainy day annual in the local metro park that set attendance records some years with over 3k vehicles 25 years and older. I was standing around late in the day in the rain with my son who was checking out the Isetta and how small it was. The owner shows up and didn't look too happy and starts to unload the big Merc/Lincoln's trunk and is walking behind my GTX to put stuff into the Isetta which I thought was odd and IMO thought is would have been the other way around? I knew the owner a little just from passing and knew he owned both cars and didn't see who might have driven one of his cars to the cruise. That's when I stupidly said "You unloading the trunk of the Lincoln's (Merc) to get the Isetta home?" The look he gave me made me avoid him for several years and he would never say hi or make eye contact with me for years. Yeah kind of couldn't take a joke that day and carried it for a long time. My son laughed but the guys reaction scared him and later asked why the guy gave me the "mean look". I just said he was upset because of the all day rain.

Seriously? I mean if you're going to own the extremes one would think you'd be doing it just for the laugh.

At one time I owned a Chevette and a 65 Bonneville.

Could of easily been something else going on that day for that type of reaction but come on to hold a grudge over it is crazy.

This was my driveway for several years. The Mini is a 1998 fuel injected model, one of the last. All 3 ran the Power Tour, the '71 in 2012, the LRE in '13 and '14, and the Mini in '14. I tell people all 3 were fun, but the Mini is fun at 35 mpg at 80 mph... The trucks have moved on and the Mini will likely go this summer to finance the resto on my grandmother's '67 Coronet 440 convertible.
