Not mine, but might be a starting point for someone who just has to have a Challenger. https://missoula.craigslist.org/pts/d/missoula-1971-dodge-challenger/7841391908.htmlCould be an SE, R/T, or a base car but hard to know if there isn’t a dash or any original paperwork. Maybe the door VIN sticker is still intact? I see what may be the original 8.75 rear laying on the ground in the first picture, so maybe that air-shock suspended Dana is an add-on? What’s also interesting is the SE window plug, four speed hump, and the white fender with the tape stripes. The rest of the car looks to be gold or maybe light metallic green under the primer.

I'm just happy there are no "axidents"
Never, ever argue with an IDIOT. They will drag you to their level and then beat you with their years of experience

For 1971 they just got the A78 formal roof package. Good info. I'm more of a B-body guy and never had a car with the formal window, so I thought that having that option made them all SEs. Didn't know that it wasn't a separate VIN designation for 1970. That's no Dana. Looks like a 7.25. Looks like I've got to work on my rear-end ID skills, too. I thought those 7.25s were only the right length to fit under A-bodies, so maybe it explains those air-shocks?

Ad states "When the owner died the wife was unable to obtain the removed parts due to “ iou bill “" Well it now has no dash & no VIN plate & no fender tag.... I like the bones but there is no owning this one. Best case scenario is that you find the shop and buy back the vin tag still on the dash. Worst case scenario you restore it, the shop pulls a non payment for services title and you loose the car. As for the SE, manual hump & 7-1/4 rear. Anything could have been added/changed but without the fender tag it's a guess. That steering wheel is a B body wheel so parts have been swapped. I know the Grand Coupes came with 318's & 7-1/4 rear so it could be an SE but
