The cylinder head is missing the mounting boss where the bolt attaches.

It's the one next to the distributor cap in the attached pic.

You're going to have to do some fabricating to figure out how to mount the upper (long) bolt.

Any signs the boss was ground off many years ago? Is there a boss on the rear of the other head?

Well, you could have someone weld on a boss inn the proper location, the heads do look to be aluminum.
If they are, someone should be able to easily TIG weld a boss on there..

Other than that, it'll take fabricating something to work.

As already suggested, check the other head at the rear for a boss.

The heads are nos heads from back in the day. They have never even had valves installed into them
So there has been no grinding/cutting done to any part of them
Most likely will try to find a good low mount setup

I never said that they were modified in any way, obviously they're not Mopar heads but probably Keith Black heads.

They are aluminum correct?

Unless you're worried about welding a boss on (what I would do), there are options.

As asked, is the boss there on the back of the other head?

It wouldn't be hard to fab up a bracket that would use that lower flat boss on the head and also use the stud mount by the core plug/freeze plug.

You could use the factory alternator brackets that way.

when i built my hemi for my 72 roadrunner. i used stage 5 hemi heads. these heads don't have alternator bracket bosses either.
there was a bracket that bolted to the alternator ears that completely supported the alternator. i don't know where it came from. i was on my motor when i got it.
i took pic, not the best, of the magazine article from Mopar Muscle September 2006. you can easily see the bracket in the pic.

Mounting an alternator will be the least of your worries with those heads!

The low mount kits fit on the bottom corner stud which it doesn't look like your head has. You have race heads, they are not designed for accessories. They are designed for a Funny Car or a Top Fuel car, not a street car.

You could use the DMI (Doty Manufacturing) low mount alternator bracket. Bracket mounts with the bottom two timing cover bolts, but it doesn't use a stock style alternator.

If you aren't running a mech fuel pump, that could be a place for an L bracket to either work with the low-mount, or off the timing cover, or off the water pump housing.
You may end up losing the belt adjustability, and some careful mock-up is needed.
Small/light alternator would be easier than the OEM unit.
Or maybe weld a deep nut in the low-mount's top bolt position that Andy's photo shows - probably the easiest mock-up of all, and retains adjustability, I think.

Thats bad ass. But a normal alt won't work with that mount setup?

It might. But I don't think you are going for the "stock" look. There are many types/kinds/styles of low mount alternators as well as roll-your-own.
