Who makes em for the 80s trucks with the 30 gallon tanks? (Side tank, not the ramcharger tanks)
___ it's more complicated than just tank size. Frame height changes the straps too. Probably simpler to make your own, I used 1/8 x2" strap from the hardware store.
Also needing a sending unit that actually works and is accurate.
____ I actually bought one from the dealer about 10 years ago. Ebay should have them but better get a part number.
Exact truck is 83 D250. I think current sending unit suction tube rotted off about 1/2 a tank level Wasn't there a guy in Ohio that restored them?
____ Sending Unit Repair and Rebuild, SURR is probably who you're thinking of. I used them once, wasn't thrilled with the quality.
After watching my son's headaches with 4 different Vans sourced ones I'm not interested. He finally got the one in his 72 fury wagon working by finding buying and installing an NOS sending unit at a swap meet and replacing the vans sourced one with that.

The guy I was thinking about was named John... Something. Think he was in one of the close suburbs of Cleveland
