Maybe it really is 41,888 miles - and it looks like a nice, clean truck.
Interesting that the door plastic is so faded, but the dash pad seems mint.
That's more like Chevy/GMC Squarebody pricing, though, and I don't think Dodge trucks of that era are as popular.
For darn sure, they don't have the parts support the GM trucks do.

$20 K and it has a SLANT SIX in it?? There ain't NO WAY a truck with a slanty is worth that much.

It's probably in such good shape and low miles because it was so gutless that the owner(s) didn't want to drive it.

(I used to own an '84 slanty PU, so calm down)

Nice $8k truck. Pretty useless, but nice.

My dad used to own a slant six 4 spd truck . That thing wouldn't roll DOWN hill

MSRP on the D100 in 84 was like 6600 for the base truck. 20k for that is a huge stretch.

I wonder what others on his lot are priced like.

Well, 1984 money is different from 2024 money, right ?

I bought a Hemi 4-speed Road Runner in NorCal for $4400 that year - non-#s, needed restoration, but complete & rust-free, and drove it 450 miles home.
Kind of apples/oranges, but it makes a point.
