Does anyone have a close up picture of a battery hold down bracket which would be found on a 1970 big block Mopar ( a Cuda to be specific). Thanks in advance,KK

Nick, this is the one that is on my Cuda. A little bit more crude. Notice the rubberized coating dripping off each end in the same direction? Dipped, I would guess.

Mark, that looks the same as the one we pulled off my Chally when it was restored by Bruce Hershberger. In fact, I gave it to him for his FM3 6-Pack car because he thought it was an original (thicker metal stock, and cruder rubber than repops). The difference when held up next to each other was distinct. I'm not sure if it was on his car for OE Gold judging, but perhaps he will read this and comment.

The OE ones are pretty crude. Here is the newer version for comparison sake. Note the drips in the coating once again;

Close up, the coating is close to 1/4" thick at the thickest spot on this one.

current reproductions are plastic dipped, some originals were rubber dipped ( though I'm not completely convinced ALL were ) - thus the difference

That's exactly what mine looked like. And I don't think the greater thickness was just coating -- I'm pretty sure the metal stock was thicker too.
