Looks like a nice car, not sure why someone would change the stripe and vinyl top color from black to white but to each his own. Check out the VIN stamp on the block also, looks like the block was partially ground off? Wheels need to be replaced IMO.

Dealers. LOL. I like the exterior color description "Charger Red"

They are reading the color name off the color chip chart.

Yes, R4 has always been known as Charger Red. I discussed this car with a potential buyer, there are a few things dissapointing but all in all a pretty good car. It is about $10K overpriced...dealer...

I'm curious about that bevel in the oil pan rail under the VIN pad - never seen that - unless it was part of a repair, which would seem a bit botched.
Overall, I'd call it a nice to very nice driver, but would be hard-pressed to pay more than $40K for it judging by the photos and a gut feeling.
And yes, "Charger Red" for Dodges, and IIRC, "Performance Red" for Plymouths.

Plymouth called R4 Barracuda Orange on some charts. My '69 runner was that color,it was like mood paint.Park next to a true red car it was Sunkist orange, next to an orange car it looked red!

I owned a 1969 340 Swinger that was unusual in that it was loaded with options and the exterior was R4 Red, white vinyl top, white bumble bee tail stripe with black deluxe interior, wood simulated steering wheel, full mag style wheel covers, factory A/C, P/S, Power Discs, fender mounted turn signal indicators, Light (Lamp) package, AM thumb wheel radio, tinted windows, bright exhaust tips, 727 and 3.23 Sure Grip. Miss that car! Sold it in 2002 to buy a 1971 Duster 340 - wished I never let the Swinger go!

That was exactly opposite of what a 340 Swinger was supposed to be. I have had several that were built late in the production run with options like yours, I currently have one like that that is 4-speed and another in Q5 white interior and stripe 4-speed with A/C, both were built in July 1969...

Where bright (chrome) exhaust tip optional on a 1969 340 Swinger. I thought it was all turndowns.

ALL 69 Dart Swinger 340's had chrome exhaust tips, and I though they were even allowed in California by then...

ALL the 68-9 Darts I was around in Ca. had the tips. Never saw one without them. BTW there were A LOT of them. So I would say you're correct on that. The 70 model year things changed with some A bodies having them and some not. I believe that may have also been the case in 72. 73? didn't pay much attention to them as they were considered Low Perf "smoggers" LOL twocents

I thought the whole CA turn down thing pertained to 440's and Hemi cars?

No, Hemis & other multiple-carb engines were exempt from the CA Noise Reduction Act.
Single-carb engines like e RR 383 were not supposed t have tips (N97).
But I had a '68 Charger R/T that I bought from its original SoCal owner and it had tips.
Also had a '68 RR Decor coupe in SoCal with them, but that car was originally from Colorado.
Tips on RRs were part of the Decor Group, "except CA", and on Hemis sprouted from resonators.
I've added them on a couple cars in the past, and likely others have as well.

In 1970 and 1971, I know E-body multi carb California sold cars had N97 and turn downs.

I tips vs no-tip CA thing varies per year, per model, per motor.

This CA emission stuff starts in 1966 takes all kinds of twists and turns.

6bblgt wrote on 70 B-body only CA emission cars: https://forum.e-bodies.org/cuda-and...n97-noise-reduction-package-codes/19424/

Quote
on a '70 b-body: N42 "tips" were OPTIONAL on Road Runner, GTX, Super Bee & R/Ts
CA required N95 (ECS Emissions) all engines "fuel vapor related"
CA required N97 (noise reduction) for 440+6 & HEMI engines -
this requirement "DELETED" the N42 "bright exhaust tips" that were INCLUDED with the HEMI engine
& used the "shielded non-fresh air, air cleaner" on all 440+6 with and without N96 & HEMI
but N42 was still available on 440+6 cars, if ordered the car would receive HEMI resonators to achieve the "noise reduction"

E74 - HEMI" engine OPTION on b-body in CA with "N97 - NOISE REDUCTION" added the shield to the INCLUDED "N96 - AIR GRABBER/RAMCHARGER" (non-Charger) & DELETED the INCLUDED "N42 - CHROME TIPS". these all had dual exhaust with a H-pipe, mufflers & resonators.

E87 - 440+6" engine OPTION on b-body in CA with "N97 - NOISE REDUCTION" added the shield to the OPTIONAL "N96 - AIR GRABBER/RAMCHARGER" if equipped (non-Charger)
with out "N42 - CHROME TIPS" 440+6 b-body, these all had dual exhaust with a H-pipe, mufflers & turndowns.
with OPTIONAL "N42 - CHROME TIPS" 440+6 b-body, this INCLUDED "HEMI resonators". these all had dual exhaust with a H-pipe, mufflers, resonators & tips.
