I see most of the 8 second Hemi Club made it this weekend. I do not see the Karbelt car owned by Kevin Dundas hope he got things together to try out his new motor.

That is great he, Kevin Dundas is there with the Karbelt Car, I wondered if he got everything together. Been in the 5&50 Garage 3 times a week working on his Cuda for years and watching the new class letters being put on the 5&50. Almost makes me want to go back racing but it is a ton of work after the race till the next time out. For now I would rather just help out and build my new Light Weight Hemi motor for the Challenger. Maybe one day I will take the Challenger back to the track. Dart 500 thank you for posting these pictures on Moparts.

Dart 500 was there a 70 Cuda Hemi that is run by Harold Shillings, was once owned by Tim Banning when he had a 500 CI Hemi with a 14/71 on top. Harolds builds his own stuff and I believe it is set up for SS/DA with a 605 Hemi runs pretty good either 8.60/8.70s. That orange Road Runner is a SS/DA owned by Ron & Debbie Gallagher, very nice Fletcher Chassie in it orginally a 383 auto 1969 Road Runner. Just also wonder if there was the Music Maker 1968 Hemi Cuda owned by Dwight Vostenveld at the track . Car has run very deep in the 8s maybe as deep as 8.30s, but now has slowed it down to run 8.70s/8.8.80s like a bracket car. Makes me wish I had of at least gone to the race instead of looking at my cars in the garage that are waiting on engine parts.

That is him I mispelled his name. Known Harry way back when he had a Tractor Puller with a Hemi. Do not see his car in the pictures but this is a three day weekend in Ontario, Canada and maybe he will be there to race. Cuda runs well and fast. Most of the guys I mentioned live with in 20 minutes of each other.

Is the car red, or use to be? I have pictures of a red 70 hemi cuda, tubbed, I think super stock, very nice car from the same weekend / event back in the late 90's. Also pretty sure the red barracuda was the only one there. There were 2-3 68/69 darts I didnt get pictures of and a 65/66.

Was this 1968 Barracuda of Dwights there at the track. I see his old Hamburg Duster in some pictures. The 1079 on the windshield that is his drives number car has gone 830s.

Same car, back then it was red with the hemi hockey sticks and shaker, looked cleaner
Unrelated but funny story, when I arrived there on Friday there were kids everywhere, I see 8-9 school buses and someone with a brain had arranged a school trip to the drag strip - unfortunatly it was rained out on Friday but it was still a car show, there was also some drifting thing going on at the road course but all the kids were oogling the muscle and taking pictures. Then I go to get a burger and the line up is as long as the track, went back to the RV and made my own food. The next morning I learned the track was to feed them all but they switched the time from noon to 11am and they were NOT ready for 400 kids. May 2-4 Cayuga - always something lol

That orange Road Runner is a SS/DA owned by Ron & Debbie Gallagher, very nice Fletcher Chassie in it orginally a 383 auto 1969 Road Runner. The car was built by FJ Smith. Extremely nice car. It is a legal Super Stock Chassis, but it runs a 600inch aluminum Hemi, and the hood isn't legal.
