thanks for the words of encouragement

well had a good day sunday, I got the cab mounted and trimmed out some more of the old floor,I cut out the old firewall and I sanded some of the body down
I mounted the body 2" above the frame so I can lower the floor 2" to have more room in the cab after I chop the top 4" Ron...

Ron, are you going to lay the windshield back? That's what's holding me back on mine. I'm not sure where to cut the windshield posts. Any suggestions???

I'am NOT going to lay the post back I am going to chop the top the regular way.
I chopped my COE 3 1/2" which makes the windshield 4" shorter than stock and then you need to add a filler Piece roughly 2" wide across the top from dr door to pass door you and see it in these pics. Ron..

Man, that COE looks HOT! I was wondering about the windshield because the Willys in your pic looks like the windshield is layed back pretty good. Sorry to get off track, now get back to that Chassis work!

You're on here too much to be learning that. I think you're trying to learn how to post as much as AMX.

I know... Christmas break is retarded... When I'm in school I post on break at school, on lunch, and as soon as school get over with. I then work on the Duster for a bit and see whats goin on from there.

thanks Pat but when I get the 65 coronet back from my son I will have to stop on this one to get that car back together, that Is why I am trying to get as much done as I can on this racetruck project, I will have to split my time up on
the 65 coronet
40 dodge PU (squattie)
the race truck
and the 34 dodge roadster PU
Ron...

well thats the first 4 that I need to get done

then I need to finish my 35 dodge COE car hauler
then the 42 radical COE
then the 33 ply coupe(blown Hemi)
then I want a blown 440 41 willys coupe

that should keep me busy for the rest of my life Ron....

One of my fears is if I ever get all my projects done I won't know what to do with them all...

ron, you make me tired with all the work you get done ! will the cab be welded permanantly to the chassis ? i have been thinking of doing that to my humpback, but i'm not sure......pros & cons ?????

yes the cab is welded to the frame, because I need to run the rollbar through the back of the cab to the rear frame rails so the cab will never come off so I figured might as well make it solid .
personally, I would make body mounts with some rubber mounts and make it possiable to remove the body to make it easier to paint the bottom and the chassis. now that being said, how often does a body really get takin off a frame Ron...
