Johnny...Congrats to your son! How'd you do? Sorry I didn't get a chance to speak to you, never saw you at your trailer. We left early since my car seemed to be launching on ice all day, lol.

sixpackgut...Looked for you before we left, but didn't see you. Was good to see you again, wish you'd been able to bring the challenger! You coulda whooped my butt if you could have hooked the least little bit, lol.

My buddy Wes won the street class w/ the silver Nissan Altima SE/R.

My junk blew the tires off through first gear on all 3 passes I made. My car just didn't like the track and I was only footbraking. Exact same setup carried the front tires last saturday night. Nothing against the track prep, my car is just sensitive.

Made a new rule for myself...No more daytime racing when it's hot. I think I lost 5 lbs sitting in the staging lanes.

Had a pretty good turnout I thought. We had a great time, other than Alex getting sunburnt real bad. CHIP

Guys,
Was Sunday better than Saturday? I was there all day Saturday and was very disappointed in the turnout of Mopars. There were only 3 swap meet vendors selling crap too.

I doubt it, we didn't go on sunday.

I don't understand why more don't come? It's almost as nice of a facility as Rockingham is (The Rock has a little more room), but more vendors go there.

I'd rather see it held when the weather's a little cooler, but that's just me.

I wish more of the mopar guys would have come out to support the show. It's nice to have someone like Galeana Dodge (Frog) trying to put on a show for the Mopars, so why not come out and support it? If the purse for the race isn't high enough, then you need to stay home anyway. It has the potential to be a quality show/race. There are enough mopars close enough to attend, and it's a good facility. CHIP

Chased tail all day long Spun tires on saturday ,Then all of sudden in 3rd round track came around car hooked broke out by 3 patting gas. Sunday Track 1st pass was slick Then went into 1st round guessed on dail in add 10 numbers to box went .002 red and car picked 4 numbers on dail in all in 60 ft so went bought back in keep in mind it keeps getting hotter it was 92 93 degrees. Add 10 more to box had .003 red car picked up 7 numbers on dail most in 60 ft so just get a hold on track because it was slick then started to work like it normal does. But with do jr with zach if won't for his mom coming it would really been hard. They run back to back So I would jump out the dart jump on golf cart go to line let him make his pass by the time we picked him up got back to trailer they would be calling our class back up there. call me tell you more bought it.

70cuda:
I had planned to attend and we try to support the MOPAR shows within a distance. The problem of having cars is that people do not know when the shows are scheduled. Advertising budgets for tracks, I know are real tight. Members on boards like this are good advertisement and if we know where a show is and get the word out we can help support the tracks and the shows.

Weather and other events on the same day is a problem. If you were riding down I-40/I-95 south in North Carolina area Friday night between 9:00 to 11:00 and the rain/wind/lightning was plenty strong.

The vendors are not able to justify the expense to attend the shows. The sales, not only at the show but during their nomal buisness operations, to the people who do attend, are down so bad that they cannot pay the expenses for the week-end. For the last few years, Hemiparts had been spending his week-ends doing a mopar show almost every other week-end. Maybe the tracks will take this into account and not continue to cancel the shows. We know that some we have attended in the past have already been cancel for this year.

If the weather is good, everyone should try to support the track and the vendors who are financially able to show up.
