FYI - I wanted to post this in our 'Moparts Hot Deals & New Products' section, but alas there was no option there for me to start a new thread (limitted to Moderator maybe? if so, please move to the appropriate forum as you see fit) Anyways, RockAuto has a wholesale closout on this filter, noticed that today b/c my last order box arrived yesterday and you can get these at literally half the price I paid for them just a few days ago! grrh... BTW, the filter specs are 3.836" by 3.660", 3/4-16 thread, by-pass valve 8-11 psi, drain-back valve, 340 psi burst pressure, 7-9 GPM Flow Rate, 21 micron, I use that as it fits a little nicer with my W2 TTIs w/o the use of the 90 deg adapter.

I just ordered 6 filters, with shipping it was basically $44. Yeah they were $4.82 each, but that's still cheap.

I have no idea who to trust for filters anymore. My buddy bought a used BMW still under factory warranty from an Audi dealer. They put a Wix filter in it. Fast forward a few months later and he takes it to the BMW dealer for an oil change. The Wix filter was found disintegrated. $3500 in damage.......

Our 2017 Jeep takes those, as does the 2019 Audi S3...the 2006 Mazda6 wagon, my 2020 Subie STI and my Mopar have always used the steel case WIX stuff, happy to report I never had a problem with either style of filter.

That's a good deal.
If I didn't already have over a dozen of the Carquest branded 51085 I'd get a few, but I've hoarded enough.
(they were $1.22 apiece, I couldn't resist)

We had that happen on a Toyota Tundra here at work. But come to find out that the owner took the truck to another shop for a quick oil change . They improperly installed the filter and when hey tightened the filter cap, it crushed the oil filter.
Nothing worth anything comes easy. It is always harder to do the right thing.
