A little story was posted at the CowtownMopars.org website and I thought you guys would enjoy it.

There is something about old guys. They can be sneaky. Just imagine pulling up to the starting line and you glance over at the car in the next lane. There is some old guy with a handicap tag hanging from his rear view mirror.

What..... me worry?

You leave the starting line togther during a time trial. You glance at the scoreboard on your way down the track and take a second look.... then a stare. That old guy just posted a .002 reaction time!!!

I gotta watch that guy. First round, .025 reaction time and the other guy wasn't aware that this was the end of his day until he couldn't catch the old guy. Too late at the tree and it's over.

Round two. The old guy gets a bye run. He leaves the line spinning the tires madly, car getting sideways. He hits second gear and the car comes around the other direction. The old guy never lifts..... stays in it all the way down the track. He is having fun now.

Third round. I guess people have been watching the old guy at the tree. Getting anxious the opponent red lights. The old guy never looks back.

Final round. Is there any way to beat this old guy? Yes.... gotta get him on the tree. Oh no! Another red light!

It wasn't the old guy though. He survived. In his brief two year racing career he finaly scored a win.

Then as old guys go, he came back around to the pits and started pulling into the wrong pit area.... ya gotta love 'em!

Oh yeah. That old guy is one of our club members. E. Morgan Millican is his name. He turns 84 in December.

Now, how would you like to be treed by a retirement age gentleman that has to move his handicap parking placard out of the way and squint over the rim of his glasses to see the staging lights?
The story has it that after his class win he was walking thought the pits trying to find out what happened to his skillet that he and some others used to cook an early morning breakfast. He was completely oblivious to the win and had to be directed to the trophy presentation.
He wasn't worried about winning or losing. Instead, he was simply out there having a good time in his old car and not worrying about a thing.

Gotta love it.

That's AWSOME! I hope I'm still alive at 84.

I had to grab a handfull of M&Ms after reading that.

But seriously, I've thought the same thing.
