1968 D 440 HP 2 Short Block 2536430 VIN 8G1174120
Forged crank 1968 440 HP block. This has been stored in my nice dry garage for the last 19 years. The cam and crankshaft are still in it. The rocker arms and shafts, lifters are still there too. I bought it and several other parts 19 years ago from Mike Vath in Marietta, GA who intended to build it and put it in a C-body. It's in the exact same condition as when I bought back then. I also have done nothing with it, which is sad, but I got into other hobbies and my '68 GTX and 2009 Viper are enough at this point in my life. This could be an absolute Mopar beast in the right hands!
Here are the numbers:
Casting 2536430-10 (440 mold #10) Date cast 3.14.67 (March 14, 1967) D 440 HP 2 (1968 440 HP motor) 7 19 = Assembled July 19, 1968 A = 0.020" oversize cylinder bores B = ? Car VIN 8G117410 (1968 St. Louis assembly plant)
In 1968 Chrysler built Chargers, Coronets, and Belvedere platforms in St. Louis so this motor came out of either a Charger R/T, Coronet R/T, or GTX. It would be correct for any Mopar built in the 2nd half(?) of 1968. Ready for restoration and build! If you need the engine stand then it's included! Bring your pick-up, I also have an engine hoist to load it. This is too heavy and awkward for one person. I have lots of additional photos, just ask. Located north of Atl GA. $1250

Pair 1967 2780915 HP Closed Chamber Heads
These have been stored in my nice dry basement for the last 15 years. They were rebuilt by the previous owner and are in very nice condition and include the valves and springs. They're in the exact same condition as I bought them back then as I had good intentions but have done nothing with them, which is sad, but I got into other hobbies and my '68 GTX and 2009 Viper are enough at this point in my life. One is date coded 01107 (Jan. 10, 1967) and the other three days later 01137 (Jan. 13, 1967) so these originally came off of the same motor which is a rarity. They would be correct for virtually any Mopar built in 1967. And, yes, they've been painted Mopar engine orange so were intended by the previous owner for a 69-70 build. I have lots more photos. Located north of Atl, GA, pickup only. $1500

Pair 1968-69 383/440 HP 2843906 Heads
These have been stored in my nice dry garage for the last 16 years. Even though they are in very nice condition and include the valves and springs, they should be gone through especially if you're doing a restoration or engine build. Both are date coded 12028 (Dec. 2, 1968) which is not seen very often. So they came off of the same motor. They would be correct for any Mopar built in 1969 or very, very late 1968. I have many more photos. Located north of Atl GA for pickup. $259
