I lost an end one for a 516 head so before I look for one are the ones on the 62-63 max wedge head the same? Mopar quit using that type of rocker shaft hold owns on B and RB motors in 1963, none of the later head 6 bolt rocker arms heads like all the 516 head came with them on the motors is what I'm remembering I've only had 1 or 2 sets of the 1964 stage Three M.W. head casting that came with the 6 bolt valve covers and the later rocker shaft hold downs so I may be wrong on ALL the real early stage three castings having the built in rocker shaft stands

The ductile iron adjustable rocker arms are wider so the hold downs need to be narrower, Mopar added small bosses, ears, on both sides at the top for the stamp steel rocker stands, they can be used by removing, them no big deal

If I could run across a set of 67 heads (915) with small exhaust I won’t need to do the 516 heads. I want to keep the closed chamber.

You know that newer 516 heads also have the cast in rocker holders and have the closed chamber? If you are ok with 516 why not just go with a newer 516?

Yes could do that, I looked at a 64 413 that had those ($500 no intake) but I went with the 413 industrial block with no heads because of the block. It’s just that I have the 63 set on hand.
