For those of you that have other brand cars, especially 69 Chevelles, I am looking which repair/ electrical manuals. My friend has one and he is asking which manuals to get to help him. Hes not all that mechanically inclined. I don't know if he would be able to follow a schematic but if there are detailed manuals "for beginners" to help him understand where things bolt to, size bolts to use, correct plugs to connect to, etc. that would really help him. He just got a 69 Chevelle Malibu and it has some "backyard mechanic" electrical going on that needs to be fixed. I told him to buy all new harnesses so it would at least be wired correctly but he will need a manual to help figure things out. He's in a different state than I am so I can't help.

Factory Service Manual - for Chevys of that era, there's the mechanical and the body manuals.
I have several sets dating back to 1957, but not that application.
Should be readily available from Irv Bishko and/or Ebay.

I have the chassi service manual that does include the electrical but they're not worth much.. 35.00 new on AMZ. Not worth the time to pack and ship

Reading a few pages at a time of a 1600 page Ram Truck FSM while sitting on the pot has merit.

New judges in North Carolina are advised to read the 2000+ pages of the “Manual of Court Proceedures” that way.

Putting a McMaster Carr catalog in the bathroom and looking at a few pages per visit will expand your imagination of
“what’s available”
and might inspire
“what should be invented.”

believe it or not, sometimes one can learn applicable techniques that can be used to diagnose or repair problems on our marque of choice, listening to others with an open mind.
it can jog our minds to something we would never think of being possible.
i have "stolen" tips and ideas from all marques in the past, helping me repair or fabricate things i was working on.
just my 55+ years working on these toys. your mileage will vary.
