One of the cars on someday list...I remember one in a very small town in northern Maine, my father tried to buy, but I think it returned to the earth.

These are really cool. Love the colors. Would be happier with maybe 2 fewer Richard Petty signatures though. I agree. And people will want to kill me but I'd also remove the "43" if I owned it. No disrespect to the King, it's just not for me.

But I would have a custom wrap made that was just thousands of richard petty autographs to put on the car so people wouldn't mistake the lineage....

Sounds like alot for an F body but if it were nearby I'd probably pay that.
I don't think we'll ever see another that original and clean.

Actually Larry you will.
There is a vault quality one that has been at some shows that was stored in this trailer along with a shaker hemi cuda.
This kit was ordered with every single option and if you look at the pic when it was still in storage it still has the plastic on the wipers and factory inspection stickers on the windshield. So many it has two window stickers to cover all the options.
Car has been at a few recent shows.

Well actually it does by proxy since this one has the 43 decals on it. I myself was never a fan of all the autographed cars but people have the right to freely do what they do with there own cars. Most know the whole story so a signed kit car is like having a Mets card signed after the player was traded to the Yankees. Im semi surprised RP signed anything related to them since he had moved on. Sorta takes the wow factor out of the picture with so many being signed IMO. How can it be the 'very best' when it doesn't have a Richard Petty signature on it? Ouch, what a burn!

The big debate from owners to mag article titles is were they "Petty Kit Cars"? But the whole KC program was based from Petty.... But never a street car just race cars. Print does not show it as such in name but that 43 isnt just a random number I dont care either way myself. Semantics I say.
