Im looking at getting a bone stock 70 340 Duster. I'm Nostalgic. I'd like to put a really nasty sounding hydraulic cam in it, and bolt on a LD 340 intake I have and a 650 Holley. I'd add 4.10 gears and cruise. It is a 4 speed. Just curious if folks still use him.

Got an SSH-44 in my 440. Had an SSH-38C before that. I would call Jim in a heartbeat if I needed another cam. up

The guy that built both my 451 ci low deck stroker (69 Dart) and the Gen 3 6.4 Hemi stroker (06 Charger Daytona) used Racer Brown cams in both of them.

He uses them in most Mopar engines that he builds.

Kayse can't keep up at all now. lol

My dad got one last fall. He needed a solid flat tappet for a 360. Had one on order from Howards that they kept pushing the shipping date back. After waiting 9 months for the shipping date to finally arrive they pushed it back another 3 months. He called Racer Brown and had the cam in like 2-3 wks.

Great guy to deal with. He’s made me everything from a .520 solid came to the .650 lift roller cam in my duster now. Just don’t forget if you call him call after 3pm EST.

Yep. Ordered a solid roller last year and got it in a few weeks. Jim was a great guy to deal with. I got the cam on my doorstep before he even billed me the invoice lol. Paid him after.

The SSH-25 is one of the best street cams ever made.

I think the early Mopar .484/.484 high overlap cam was a copy of the SSH25, it's what we run in our 70 6pak.
Not as smooth as the lower overlap later cam but runs a bit better above 4500 RPM.

484/484 is a dog of a cam and has been for years. Larry Shepard of mopar never liked that cam
The posted is not complete - there is the list from the mopar perfomance manual that needs to be posted
SSH 25/44...

Granted, but keep in mind it is 60 year old tech, and at that time head design and material needed a different
design lobe and valve timing to improve performance.

With a little head massaging, bigger valves, pocket work and seat improvements, they were
a big help with that cam, (in those days) LOL
