I finally got the new 511 inch `wedge in my 69 Super Bee. Now I need a new hood as the stock hood doesn’t have enough clearance for the carb. I’m looking at the VFN and AAR. I’ve used VFN before and like their stuff for a race car. AAR has a nice looking bolt on six pack hood, but I haven’t used their stuff. Is anyone using AAR products? I need feed back please.

We just received the 69 SuperBee hood from AAR quality fiberglass for my neighbors Coronet. It is amazingly nice. It fits PERFECT!! The underside is SUPER nice also. You will not be dissappointed in the Super Bee hood. My brothers Black 69 Cuda has an AAR Q.F. hood, hood scoop and front bumper on it and they are all VERY nice. The body shop that painted my brothers car said that they have never before seen such nice fiberglass. Its nice stuff.

Sloan, Thanks for you input on AAR’s quality.
Darryl, that nine month wait doesn’t sound good. I have that T-shirt from another fiberglass parts supplier.

I have purchased fiberglass products from 4 different manufacturers in the past two years. AAR is top notch in quality and I did not experience unreasonable timing.

Just got a new hood and deck lid from WS Racing. Pricing, timing, and quality were very, very, good.

I have an AAR bolt on trunk lid with the original key lock in it and you can`t tell its glass. Good high quality products but time getting them is a problem sometimes.

my dad has the AAR hinged 6 pack hood on his 68 satellite fit. fit and finsh are very good, my dad isn't running hood hinge springs though, he uses a prop rod so it doesn't buckle the hood when closed. I guess you can run a lighter spring rate, but if you have a 69 bee why not do a lift off hood? Oh yeah we need pics of the bee!

I have a AAR bolt on 6 Pack hood and front bumper on my Dart, the quality is great. Customer service is another thing though. My hood and bumper were in stock when I ordered and it took three months to arrive, plus there's a $25 crate fee that they don't mention when you order.

Wow 9 months sounds reasonable compared to the 2.5 years I waited for my hood.
