I asked a friend who is a pro mechanic.....what he would buy?
He told me "Challenger" with the different length arms.
I am guessing the slab in my soon to be garage isn't 6".
I don't have the 240 volts out there yet.

I like my 4 poster Backyard Buddy. Uses 110 volts. The asymetrical arm 2 poster will work just fine too if you want a 2 poster.

My electrical panel in my garage is a sub panel. The panel for the trailer is 200 amp and is located out doors. The trailer panel is a sub panel also.

I am thinking that I don't want anything that goes under the wheels. I think I want them hanging in the air.

I am liking my Bend-Pak quite a bit. 2 post lifts have their benefits and are probably the better choice for car repairs, especially the assymetrical style. I just didn't feel confident using one as a storage lift.

Nice Project Car
Your SHOP is a little....sparse
I have a 2 post asymetrical Rotary - and absolutly love it ! 10,000 pounder
NO PROBLEM storing a 4500 pound car on that. !
I wouldnt store a 7500 pound truck - but a car - NOT A PROBLEM !!

No, I bought mine new. All of the used ones I was finding around here were overpriced and very used. I even tried an auction up in Ft Myers at a dealer that was moving. They advertised a bunch of Rotarys and a bunch of other lifts. Before the auction even started they sold all of the Rotarys and removed them from the buildings. all that was left was worn out junk. I bought an MX-10CX from this place : http://www.e-autolifts.com/MAX/MAX.html The price for new was better than what some of the used junk I was finding cost. Hemi Steve and I set the posts up, I installed the cables, hoses and arms then the electrician took over.
