I am looking for the original 340 block for my 72 roadrunner. I got the car out of Seattle Wa. When I got it, someone had replaced the 340 with a 360. The car was originally Richard Petty blue with b5 blue interior. It is a pistol grip 4 spd car. Someone painted it gun metal silver and changed the interior to black. The car was built in 10-71, so I assume the date code on the engine block might have been from June to Sept. 1971. The engine stamp would be 2G126612. Any help would be appreciated!

Looking for the engine and trans for my 1968 Hemi roadrunner.

Block should have the following numbers 8G119670. This stamping is located at the back of the engine where the bellhousing would bolt into the block at the 12 o'clock position. Please note there is no machined pad like the 1969 and up engines, just the numbers on the rough cast surface.

The numbers 8G119670 also should be on the machined pad located on the transmission

Car was a Florida car all of it's life. Got it's hemi transplanted for a 383 early in it's life. The car was a 2 door coupe (pop out rear windows, post car) Bronze Metallic with a tan interior and an automatic on the column and a bench seat.
