I won my first drag racing trophy in my mother's new at that time, 1964 dart 270 four door with the new that year 273 C.I. two barrel single exhaust that ran in the mid to high 17. second range. That was in the spring of 1964 at Mickey Thompson Fontana Drag city in Fontana ,CA, they were AHRA affiliated and I ended up being put in K/SA formula 3, 8 o 10 other street cars in that class and they would race us four abreast with a flag starter Them were the days I race her car their twice that year and won both times, boy did that addict me to drag racing
