So I got the factory wheels on my 92 dakota, look like a 5 spoke chrome steel wheel with the spokes slightly slanted and they look a lot like the heavier doody trucks but the center cap looks like it is supposed to pop on over the lug nuts but I can't find the right lug nuts, is there a source for them new or somebody know where I can get a used set?

If these are the wheels I'm thinking of, the caps go under the lug nuts. The bulge seat nuts are just a little bigger than the holes in the caps.

nope it's a chrome dome with no holes and a stamped in ram head and it just snaps over the lug nuts if you have the correct lug nuts.

I've tried many times sine the last board "update" to load pics and never been able to finger it out.

This is what the wheel looks like

This is almost exactly what the center caps look like

In addition, certain years Fords (like a 98 crown vic) used a longer shank so the retaining ring came out further to secure the caps better. Using those on my 92 w250 to keep 1994 center caps on my 1996 F250 alcoa rims.
