I have an 04 CTD Quad Cab 4WD. I had to replace my calipers a while back and replaced the brake hoses at the same time. I've never had any trouble with mine not stopping, even when I pulled a 12K lb. Sunnybrook 5th wheel. Now I only pull an open car trailer occasionally, and it will stop on a dime and give you nine cents change. I did use the best brake pads NAPA had when I redid my fronts and I feel like it does stop better with less brake dust. That's about all I can offer as an upgrade. Good luck to you.
