Just picked up this Black 2008 dodge ram 1500 regular cab short box 4 x 4, TRX4 off-road edition. Not sure I’ve ever seen one and after doing some research it seems like there isn’t a whole lot of them out there. Fun truck though!
New tires in the last pic!

Mine is a 2004 SLT 1500 Quad Cab 4x4 with the 8' bed that I bought new in 2005 as a leftover. Added the ARE cap & the stainless steps soon after I got it. About 6 years ago I decided to fix a few mechanical issues & get some rust repaired in the rear wheel wells. Also had to replace the tailgate & rear bumper due to rust. I wasn't planning to do this but when I priced a new truck I almost passed out. eek

I just recently started to get some rust in the bottom of the cab corners & in the rockers. Not sure how much longer I'd try to keep this truck going but it still runs great, has about 136,000 miles & is still very presentable considering it's pushing 20 years old. I'll have to see what my body shop wants to repair the newest rust areas, but whatever it is going to be it'll still cheaper than a new truck. work

thanks Larry !
that thing has come a long way since i hauled it out of the south carolina swamp it was in. hindsight always being 20/20, i should have left it there !
the only thing left of the truck is the basic body.
i built the entire chassis and front and rear suspension, and a very good friend of mine did a ton of work on the body to get it where it is, way back in 1980.
as the body was worse than ruff, the plan is to leave the finish as is, while perfecting the chassis and running gear, and making the interior nice, but all business.
i hope i can get it going under it's own power before i croak. biggrin

My truck was originally my back and forth to work, stripped down, slant six manual shift transportation. Later when it was retired I added a 440, T-Flite, narrowed 8 3/4, lowered, factory air, power windows, cruise control, tilt wheel and anything else I could find in the junk yard that my truck didn't have.
