Building a 69 rr and I need to install torsion bars. All of my old stock were removed with a vice grip. Is it ok to use them or a way to clean them up I had read that a vice grip can score the metal causing it to crank later. Thanks

i wouldn't reuse those.
the teeth of the vice grips digging into the bars can cause stress risers, which can cause the bars to break.
i wouldn't take the chance.
just my opinion. your mileage will vary.

I agree, replace them and take advantage and upgrade to heavier bars while you’re at it.
