mro OP super stock Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 1,107 Lynch Road	Building a 69 rr and I need to install torsion bars. All of my old stock were removed with a vice grip. Is it ok to use them or a way to clean them up I had read that a vice grip can score the metal causing it to crank later. Thanks 68 Satellite Wagon and a few other ones

moparx "Butt Crack Bob" Joined: Sep 2003 Posts: 19,375 north of coder	i wouldn't reuse those. the teeth of the vice grips digging into the bars can cause stress risers, which can cause the bars to break. i wouldn't take the chance. just my opinion. your mileage will vary.
