Looking for some information on a NOS Ball Joint with Casting #3402991 on it.
There is no part # on the Chrysler box. What year and application is it for?

Awesome Pictures.

That number is a casting/forging number and not a part number if I remember correctly. There are casting books available but I do not have one.

The joint itself is lower drivers side and NOT a C body, Van/Truck, it doesn't look like an early A body either.

It really looks like a B body from 6? to 72 or E body 70-74 or an 73 - 76 A body.

Going by a visual ID here is list of probables.

shruggy the closest Chrysler part # to the 3402991 forging number is 3402612/613 which was a new "one-year-only" part number(s) for '72 C-body lower ball joint(s) shruggy

shruggy looks like it would fit 1965-'73 (non-4-piston disc brake) C-bodies shruggy here's what the aftermarket/reproduction C-body ball joints look like scope someone should be able to confirm with the distance between the 2 mounting holes work

I have an NOS lower ball joint #2275463 for my 66 B body

I opened the box for the 1st time a few months back,

It has no casting numbers on it anywhere

Bolt spacing where it attaches to the spindle is exactly 4-7/16 "

Bolt spacing from center of front bolt to center of tie rod end hole is 8-7/8"

Bob. Mounting bolt center to center may very well be 4-3/8"

I get 8-5/8 or 8-3/4 the way I measure it. My ball joint has what looks like a very sharp bend at the tie rod end compared to others
