I think you would need to change front cover assembly due to hood clearance and the intake.

i have a 06 300. its a 5.7 heritage so a bit better than just a stock "C" i would like to keep the car so thinking of rebuilding and adding some useable power. thinking maybe a 392 stroker. question. i have access to a 16 5.7 truck engine that is super low mile (10k-ish) would that be a better start? i would think tone ring is an issue but anything else?. (buy the 32 tone ring crank?) is that a good swap or stick with the earlier engine? nothing stupid for power 475-ish Wouldn't it be easier to just drop a used 6.4 in? Ask Dave
