Looking for info on the original finish for this bracket? 70 340 4-speed reverse lockout part mounted to the bell housing. Dark phosphate, bright cadmium, natural? Thanks

I was always told phosphate. I've picked up a few NOS linkage parts over the years and all have been phosphate, but of course you have over the counter NOS vs ASSY line.
