Co-worked has a blown transmission in a Cherokee SRT8 with 4 wheel drive automatic. Anybody know what years they are interchangeable? It’s a 2015 model. Had 100k miles before it went to transmission heaven. Figured it would be cheaper to get a used one than buy a rebuilt case.

Any 8 speed from a 5.7 or 6.4 jeep or durango. ZF70hp is what they used

I am not sure of any intricacies, just that the 5.7 and 6.4 used the HP70. The V6 uses a licensed weaker ZF they build themselves and the hellcats use the HP90

Durango and Grand Cherokee use the same platform / built on the same line so if its 4x4 you should be ok but assure this with a tech

8spd is 2015 to present

8 speed is '14 to present
