More go flat than don't. I've hated roller cams all my life but I may not build another flat tappet motor for risk of it being a failure. I think he did the right thing going roller. NOS-used when losing since 1940.

Been lots of videos showing improperly machined tappets. Seems like it would be easy to account for with just a little QC. 1987 Fifth Avenue - 512/518/D60
