Probably been talked about before but is possible? I have wiring harness but no PCM. I know the obvious like mechanical stuff but electrical gets me.

I found my notes from when I did mine. I picked up an '05 computer and confirmed it had NO anti-theft system w/ Joe @ 918/456-2541, I have NO recollection of who Joe was/is or who he worked for. The computer I picked up had "in system vehicle locate tracking", again, I've forgotten what significance that was or even was significant.

The computer had to be flashed for my truck, axle ratio, tire size, etc.

Street and Performance deleted the downstream O2 sensors when they did mine, that caused me some grief later on.

Some of the kits I believe are on back-order until mid March.

What type of grief are talking about with regards to deleting the Downstream O2 Sensors from the programming?

Seems like it was something to do with Texas emission testing, can't imagine what else it could have been. There were times I got by with the dyno test for OBD1 vehicles, and other times they checked for codes due to the newer engine. If I remember, there were codes set for no downstream sensors. By the time the truck turned 25 years old and exempt from emission control testing, the gas tank started deteriorating to the point I couldn't put 10 gallons in without immediately leaking, so I drove it VERY little until I lost all interest and sold it.

Looks like that might be Joe Perry at Tommy Nix Auto Group, this is a Chevrolet dealer but they also have a Chrysler dealership. They are in Tahlequah, OK

Now that's interesting. I never knew the 545RFE and 46RH(E) used the same mount. So if you can score a junkyard crossmember from an overdrive equipped truck and want to use the 545RFE, as I did, you're golden. The shift linkage for the 545RFE requires fabrication, (which S&P DIDN'T do) unless you want drive on the shift quadrant to show up as neutral. Essentially, without a little fabrication the entire shift range shows up as park through drive (that would be first gear) on the quadrant and the effort to shift is high.

The drivers side requires headers, or a Jeep Grand Cherokee drivers side exhaust manifold, most anything fits the passenger side. They cut the top flange of my frame trying to get the truck manifold to fit. rant

I believe my engine was in the stock position, so the 45 degree adapter wasn't ever an issue for me. Since my engine was '07, it could use ANY of the older mopar or Ford filters. 2008 they changed the pipe size to metric.

The rest is pretty much wiring, save for the PS pump. Pressure is too high for the old box. I "think" they used a GM pump and did use a custom remote reservoir, which I hated, because it leaked, not terribly, just enough to be really annoying and have to top off periodically.

Almost forgot, I lost my cruise control, later S&P (read: hotwireauto) told me they figured out how to make it work, but I never pursued it. I was completely fed up with their antics by then.

I hope they've come up with a good way to drive the speedometer, I got sick of the wonky electronic adapter they used and mounted a GPS.

Can't you just get a PCM from a 07 car from your local pull-a-part? Might as well get a gauge cluster too. I have a 2007 Charger that I am playing with. Bought a used, unmarried Diablo and used the canned tune and it worked nice. Deleted MDS. Then I removed the cats and EGR and got an email tune. No codes. By the way. this is my first time tuning anything.

Not sure carbureted is the simple way with these. Not many intake choices available, and you still have to deal with other unavoidable sensors.

It took me a few days to reply. Ah, emissions testing that would make sense. I've heard different tricks for the downstream O2 sensors and they use to sell O2 Simulators back years ago but, they don't anymore. The gas tank might have a been a simple but, costly solution.

I wasn't necessarily saying to run a hemi with a carb.... I'm getting as tired of seeing a new generation hemi in an older chassis as I am all the LS swapping going on.......
Stick with what has worked for eons.
