Hi! I would like to know if an AVS 2 1906 would fit my cast iron intake? I have a stock 1970 440 engine that has a stock 1971 intake. Also, will it work with a stock air cleaner and fresh air hood? Is it easy to hook up the electric choke? Can someone tell me the right part number for the carb for my car? It's a 4 speed with 354 gears. Finally,do you need an adapter for the intake for the carburetor? What gaskets need to be used?

I have bolted 650 Eddy carbs to factory iron intakes before and they work fine. Your electric choke is easy to hook up and there are many diagrams and videos in the net for you to choose your best option.
The AVS 2 will work better than the factory carb because the annular boosters give better low end throttle response twocents

Check the intake bore size and spacing vs the carbs butterfly size and spacing. Probably OK BUT shruggy
Also make sure the is NO gasket overhang on the intake bores beer

The bore size needs to be explored as stated above. You might look into if these are similar enough to maybe use the factory choke stat and get away without the electric to save a few bucks.

I want my fair share

I am running an AVS-2 on a stock 340 spreadbore Thermoquad intake and have zero fitment issues.

And I love this AVS-2, it's even better than the eddy perfomer carbs, and still has a very similar all in 4bbls open moan.

Be sure to run some kind of heat soak spacer/adapter.

I ran the Performer carb on a stock spread bore intake wit nothing more than this style gasket, thick not thin. No leaks, no issues.
