I have a 5.7 hemi that came with my project car.
the block casting number is 53021319CB which in the information I have found is the pre 2009 block.
My question is on the heads. Both heads have a casting number of 53021616 BA. I can't find any info on these.
Does anyone have any info on these heads? Are they any good?
I'm not looking to build a high horsepower motor, it will be a cruiser. I just don't want to have any trouble with the heads.
The casting number info I can find on the pre 2009 heads is 53021300AJ and 53021300BA. I don't have these heads.
Thanks in advance for your help!

I have the info on that head.
The heads on my Hemi are both 53021616 BA. I can't find anything on these.
Thanks.

The way that Mopar part numbers work is that later issued part get a different letters at the end of the part number.

What you have are a 2003 to 2008 cylinder head, they have the smaller intake ports.
Pre-Eagle style heads.

The intake ports are all the same on all the 2008 and earlier heads, they all flow the same.
Some are machined for an EGR valve and some aren't.
There's a difference between left and right heads on that era heads.

The intake ports look like this one in the first pic below.

The later Eagle heads look like the Edelbrock head in the second pic, the intake port is more of a square and noticeably larger..

Thanks for the information.
I'm guessing these heads would still have the valve seat issue since it is a pre 2009 head. This Hemi has the same letters for each head. I don't know why and probably doesn't matter at this point.
I have a second pre 2009 Hemi and the head letters for left and right are different.
I am years away from needing the motor to run but I want to keep my eyes open in the mean time for another set of heads.
I appreciate your help!

What you're actually planning on using the engine in would make the difference on cylinder head accessory mounting (as in what vehicle).

The cylinder heads will work as they're supposed to as far as the engine it's self, just accessory mounting would be the issue.
