What are you all doing to keep it together? With the roads not being maintain were i live the potholes are taking a toll on my plastics

Buy as many good pieces as I can stumble by, and store those pieces in cool dark places. .
Plastic is doomed. It deteriorates in hot weather, gets brittle in cold cold weather, easily breaks mounting tabs off when removed or replaced and it fades in the sun. It was a great material to make interior panels out of if you are selling replacement parts.
If the vehicles survive long enough, maybe someone will start re- making the most frequent self destructing pieces of the popular vehicles.

Hope so had my truck 27 yrs. now replace the dash twice glove compartment three times it sucks big time.

Need to go back to making that stuff out of steel again. Wouldn't that give the current bubble wrap protection required people heart attacks?
