I can set it up to 3500 rpm but then couldn’t get the procedure in my thick head, I was thinking pushing and then releasing like the trans brake on race car.

Very nice! It would be a VERY close match for my 5090 lb pig. It would come down to your 60' vs my mph.

4445 lbs, is that with you in the car? Some serious HP to push that Today's high gear count transmissions make massive improvements in performance. The number of Mustangs out there really put a point on it. The 5.0 Mustangs used to hang in there with my CL65 up to 60 mph or so then start dropping back. The 10 speed cars have the same output but they hang in there till around the 1/8 mile before losing ground. The longer they have to pull a gear the more I pull on them. Dropping the 8 speeds behind the hemi made a significant difference, too. Granted, my car is a torque monster that has little problem pulling the 5 speed but wish I could get my hands on S65 coupes with the 7 speed to see how they compare to mine.
